Identify the exact chassis, seating or cargo arrangement, registration status and battery system before treating two asking prices as comparable.
Inspect the complete working configuration
Confirm passenger seats or cargo dimensions, roof and weather protection, doors or restraints, rated load, wheel and tyre sizes, braking system, suspension, lights, mirrors and any meter or fleet equipment. Ask whether modifications are documented.
For the electrical system, record battery voltage, chemistry, usable capacity, fixed or removable design, BMS, charger input, connector and charge time. Test operation under a representative load and inspect wiring, enclosures, seals and signs of overheating or water entry.
Review ownership, registration and operating documents applicable to the intended use. Check service history, replacement-part availability, battery warranty, charger warranty, keys, accessories and the seller’s ability to support repairs after handover.

- Can the buyer charge at the stated voltage and current without additional electrical work?
- Are the battery and charger owned outright, and are replacement packs compatible and available?
- Which documents, equipment, branding, permits or commercial accessories transfer with the vehicle?
Compare against the planned operation
