By Paul
MG Thailand (SAIC Motor-CP) and MG Sales (Thailand) announced that MG UK participated in the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026, held July 14 in West Sussex, UK. The brand celebrated a milestone by unveiling two world-first electric concept cars: the MG GO! and MG CYBER CONCEPT.
MG GO! – Retro-Futuristic Hot Hatch
The MG GO! is a B-segment battery electric hatchback that reinterprets classic MG models from the mid-20th century through a "Retro Futuristic Design" approach. It hints at a compact hatchback set for production in 2027. Designed by the MG Design Centre London, led by Carl Gotham, the car draws inspiration from the MGB GT, MG Metro Turbo, MG ZR, and MG EX4. Gotham said the goal was to create a modern, warm, and charming car that captures the essence of MG without simply copying the past.
MG CYBER CONCEPT – Performance SUV
The MG CYBER CONCEPT is a flagship D-segment SUV inspired by MG's speed records (MG EX181) and innovation heritage. It embodies "Performance without Compromise," combining SUV practicality with sports car character. Jozef Kabaň, Vice President of SAIC DESIGN, emphasized that good design starts with customer needs and creates an emotional bond.
