MG Thailand has announced the appointment of Mr. Chatchawit Tanthraphorn as Deputy Managing Director of MG Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., effective June 1, 2026. He will oversee marketing, sales, after-sales service, dealer management, and contribute to overall strategy alongside Managing Director Mr. Xu Yin.

Mr. Chatchawit brings over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, having held senior executive positions at several premium automotive groups. He has also been involved in developing electric vehicle technology and ecosystem in Thailand. His expertise lies in communications, marketing, and high-level management.

“With 30 years in the auto business, I am confident in MG’s potential—its products, services, team, and strong dealer network—to reach the next level,” said Mr. Chatchawit. “Although the Thai auto market is highly competitive, it is also full of charm and opportunities, especially in alternative energy vehicles, which have nearly doubled in growth this year. Consumers are embracing new technology and innovation despite economic challenges, seeking cars that offer value, technology, and lifestyle fit.”

Over the past 12 years, MG has grown strongly under the leadership of Mr. Pongsak Lertrudeeviwatwong, who has taken on a new role managing the Chinese automotive business group. He laid the foundation for MG’s direction, business model, and efficient management systems, enabling continuous growth and long-term sustainability.
